Clean Energy Technology (Program Under Development)

This program is under development with the intent that the first cohort will begin classes in the fall term 2009. It will provide entry-level and technician-level training for technical workers in renewable and clean manufacturing and energy companies.

A 2-year Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) and a 1-year certificate in clean energy technology will meet needs requested by local industry. Areas of Emphasis within the AAS Degree will include Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical/Maintenance and Power Technology. The program will feature a modularized curriculum format to allow students to participate in paid internships, where available, with participating companies. The certificate in Clean Energy Technology Fundamentals will be awarded upon successful completion of the first year of the degree.
